“Seeds of Joy”

NEEM is a 501(c) organization that brings holistic activities of healing and forgiveness to people affected by violent conflict, through a range of therapies that include: yoga, meditation and visualization techniques, creative and expressive arts, and nutrition.

Our goal is to unleash the full potential of the individual in an atmosphere of healthy forgiveness. NEEM will consolidate a sustainable model of personal healing and social reconciliation that will be adapted to the diverse needs of communities affected by violence around the world.

Neem Values

  • Change from within.
  • Holistic approach towards healing.
  • Creativity and power of the individual.
  • Networks and communities.
  • Organic growth.

What Neem Does

Neem bridges resources and knowledge to communities in need of healing:

  • Supporting healing initiatives through local partners.
  • Local capacity building: training healing entrepreneurs (training of trainers).
  • Developing a network of holistic practitioners and volunteers.
  • Generating knowledge on the subject of holistic alternatives towards healing.

How Neem Works

  • Neem is a second floor organization that bridges resources and transfers knowledge to and between local partners.
  • We search for funding opportunities among institutions worldwide.
  • We partner with trust providers (i.e. research centers) to develop a model that is universal and transferable.
  • We adapt, expand and improve a holistic healing model with local partners in beneficiary countries.

Where We Work

  • We work in communities that have been affected by violent conflict.
  • The first country benefited by our program is Colombia, where we will consolidate and systematize the model.
  • Subsequently we will expand our initiatives to other countries with similar conditions (i.e. Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Israel, Nicaragua) .

Neem’s Values

  • Sustainability – thinking of the world as an ecosystem, where everything is interconnected and each part depends on each other to exist.
  • Holistic – recognition of the inseparability of spirit, soul and body.
  • Healing – the power of the individual to regulate and redirect its life.
  • Reconciliation – being able to see life through the eyes of the other.
  • Creativity – the power of the individual to create the world
  • Collaboration – the enhanced power of individuals when they act collectively to co-create the world
  • Leadership – entrepreneurship of ideas to lead a change
