Neem Idea

The Neem (Skt.: mahanimba) tree, or margosa (Azadirachta indica) is famous for its healing qualities.

In India, the tree is variously known as “Divine Tree”, “Heal All”, “Nature’s Drugstore”, “Village Pharmacy” and “Panacea for all diseases”.

This tree may usher in a new era in pest control; provide millions with inexpensive medicines; cut the rate of population growth; and perhaps even reduce erosion, deforestation, and the excessive temperature of an overheated globe. Neem was founded 5 years ago by Ana Maria Velasco, a Colombian artist and yogini living and working in NYC.

Neem has worked with FUNDACION PARA LA RECONCILIACION & FUNDACION TECNOVO, foundations based in Colombia.

Colombia has had the longest standing violent conflict in the history of the Americas, and is in need of great healing. The country is also receiving people from all sides of the armed conflict who are giving up their arms and starting a new life in the cities. Therefore it is the perfect place to create and consolidate this model of universal healing.
